At the heart of Catholic Social Teaching is that our faith and service go hand in hand. The two are an integral part of Catholicism and that's why we teach both of them. We instill faith through the teachings of the Catholic tradition and sacred scriptures. We are teaching our students to be disciples and people who are at the service of others. Therefore, our service opportunities nurture the values of generosity, empathy, humility, and understanding. These projects include assisting at parish events and ministries as well as personal commitments to help others, determined by the students, their parents, and teachers.

SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION
The Sacraments are a necessary part of life for all faithful disciples of Jesus. Here at St. Edward, we take discipleship seriously and prepare our students to live a life centered on the Sacraments. It’s the norm for second-grade students to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the fall/winter and receive their First Holy Communion in the spring. It’s also the norm for our eighth grade students to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the late winter/early spring. We have students and families who decide to become Catholic or complete their Sacraments of Initiation at different grade levels. If this is the case, please discuss it with our school principal or contact our pastor.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for providing St. Edward school. Help it grow and flourish according to Your Holy Will. We ask Your blessing upon the students and their families, the staff and teachers, the founders and benefactors, and all who help support St. Ed's with their time and talents.
May we all grow to love You more and spread the Gospel of Life to the world. May all praise and thanksgiving be given to You through our efforts.
Jesus I trust in You.
Mary cause of our joy, pray for us.
Joseph, guardian and protector, pray for us.
O Holy Family, hear our prayer. "
Amen.
