The School Board is excited to welcome returning families and new families back to school. We are ready to work hard for St. Edward School, its students, and all the parents to reach our goals for the year.
The School Board is made up of parents of students and/or members of the Parish. We are an advisory board to the pastor and principal on the effectiveness, viability, and policies of the school with a particular focus on school strategic planning, student
recruitment, fundraising and budgeting.
The School Board is a liaison between parents and the school board to reach the mission of the school. We want parents to stay connected to the school and be their voice during school board meetings. Meetings are held monthly with the school board members and the principal and pastor. The minutes of each meeting are posted on the school website for all parents to review.
The School Board holds specific fundraisers, including Football Mania, Walk-a-thon, and the Big Red Auction, to help cover operating budget and other projects. We also assist with marketing and recruitment events, such as open houses, to help increase enrollment.
